How did "The Crew" start?
One day a few of us were hanging out, trying to crack each other up and someone said, "Hey, it would be funny if we filmed this."
How do you guys know each other?
• Sage, Nicole, and Tramaine went through Syracuse University BFA acting program together.
• John, K'idar, and Sage are roommates via Craigslist.
• K'idar and Adrienne went to Harvard together.
• Carol was internet stalked.
So your skits and sketches are improv?
Yes and no. Most of the time we work from a script. We'll all chip in ideas, and whatever works best for getting the joke right in the moment (be it re-writes or improv) is what we'll do.
Why do you guys post so many outtakes?
'Cause we think they're hysterical!
Where do you guys shoot?
New York City.
What type of camera do you use?
At the moment we use a Canon FS200 hooked up to a AudioTech 22 inch shotgun mic.

Where do you get your beats?
They're created in GarageBand. Macs are awesome.
